# Choose the right export

1. Select the scope and open **Export**.
2. Choose the format and options. Review the preview when it is available.
3. Save the file and open it in the application the other person will use.
4. Check the content, pages and ranges, legibility, and that no private notes are included.

> **Expected result:** The exported file is independent. Later changes to the board do not update it automatically.
