Use Mac, Windows or iPad for the full editor. iPhone is the companion for capturing, reading, making simple changes and presenting. Have your Apple, Google or email access ready; this first exercise does not need AI.

1. Open VectorBoard and create an account or sign in. Complete the sign-in setup and choose the language.

*Adapt the app to the way you draw*

2. Choose a blank board, a template or an import. To practice, create a blank board called `Workshop practice`.
3. Choose **Sticky note** (S), click an empty space and type `Decide the workshop topic`. Go back to **Select** (V).
4. Choose **Section** (F), draw an area around the note and name it `Ideas`. Move the section and check that the note goes with it.
5. Choose **Text** (T), click outside the section and type the project goal.
6. Check the save indicator. Go back to **Home**, find the board by its name and open it again.

> **Expected result:** You have a saved project with a section, a note and a standalone text. You can open it again and identify which content belongs to the section.

*Learn as you work*

> **Important:** Local creation works offline after the first sign-in. Pro and Team add board sync. Web research, hosted AI, share links and collaboration need the corresponding connection. Syncing settings does not mean syncing Free boards.
