**Diamond** creates the decision shape from the Shape family. Use it to split alternative routes and make a question visible within the process.

> **Important:** Activation: choose **Diamond** on the toolbar or in its family. Shortcut: D.

## How to use it

1. Open the Shape family and choose **Diamond**.
2. Draw it and type a question.
3. Add separate outgoing connectors and name each outcome.
4. Follow the branches to check direction and meaning.

> **Expected result:** The diagram shows a decision and its alternative routes.

> **Example:** Use Approved? with Yes and No on the outgoing connectors.

## Common mistake and how to fix it

A diamond does not evaluate conditions automatically. Use formulas for calculations and prototype links for screen transitions.
